    In my search for finding local,sustainable brands, I first learned about Olivia & Diego on Instagram and  immediately thought, well, here is another successful local label that not only helps keep unnecessary waste out of the landfill, but also offers empowerment and livelihood to women in rural communities, particularly in Davao, Philippines. You may have heard or come across this label too, as they have retailers not just in the Philippines but overseas as well, such as in Australia, Canada, Japan, Germany, and the United States.     Shop Feature: ZIB* Textile

    ZIB* is a colorful fashion brand from Riga, Latvia that creates originally designed casual clothing and accessories for women and kids. It was founded in 2012 by Inga Priedite and Irena Andrejeva, who were then students at the Art Academy of Latvia.     There’s something happy about these bow ties by Otis James.  The story of how it all began is pretty awesome. Otis had never made a tie in his life when a co-worker asked him to make neckties so she can gift them to her father and brother.  After receiving more commissions to make custom neckties for weddings, Otis launched his eponymous brand in 2010. The line includes neckties, bow ties, ascots, lady ties, pocket squares, scarves, and caps. Everything is handmade from his studio in Marathon Village, Nashville, Tennessee.
