Beautiful Workspace: Fin and Feather Art Studio

Ellen Schebor Sherman is an artist and illustrator –  owner of online art shop Fin and Feather. I asked Ellen if she would be willing to be a part of the Workspace series. She gladly said yes, and sent over photos of her art studio in Miami, Florida.

Most of her illustrations are inspired by nature. Some of my favorites include the Fawn, the Deer Antlers, the Sea Horse, the Prickly Pear Cactus, and the Chickadee birds (featured on this post). The prints in her shop are reproductions of her original drawings and watercolor paintings.

Would you like to see the space where she creates her art from?

My art studio is my sanctuary. Everything in it has a place, a story and a reason that it inspires me. Which as you can imagine, causes a bit of clutter. (But it is much-loved clutter.)

The little plants and budding succulents remind me to stay mindful of the smallest minutiae of day-to-day life. My rock collection, gathered from travels and important locations throughout most of my life serve as a reminder of where I have been, who I’ve been there with, and what a beautiful journey it’s been thus far.

With these intentions front and center I’m able to focus on making my work with serene purpose. (…Or on making a happy mess, one or the other!) – Ellen Schebor Sherman, Fin and Feather Art
